The Reason Why “Get Trump” Keeps Failing (and how to fix it)

The ‘Get Trump’ movement that has been raging non-stop for eight years, from the moment the man announced his run for President in 2015, continues to fail because nobody seems to grasp the concept of how to actually ‘Get Trump’.

First, let be honest about what “Get Trump” means. To “Get Trump” is to prevent Trump from ever holding office again and turn his supporters against him. The latter being a crucial key in the “Get Trump” movement because even from jail, Trump could become President with enough support.

Prior to becoming President, most Americans liked Trump (although many will lie and claim they always hated him), he’s a funny entertaining guy that’s been a public figure for our entire lives. Everybody was fine with him when he was a Democrat, including Hillary Clinton. Only when he became President as a Republican did this deep hatred for the man form with 25% of the country.

So when this article refers to “Get Trump”, that is what it is referring to and does not in any way suggest harm or incarceration of a former President as some more disturbed interpretations of the movement suggest.

Playing The Victim

Those pushing the hardest and putting in the most effort to ‘Get Trump’ continue to make one critical error. They insist on the continued mistake of making him look like the victim.

This is evidenced by just turning on the news every time we hear ‘We Got Trump’, with all the newscasters in unison saying the same talking points about how his base is vanishing, and how “can they possibly vote for him now”.

Jill Biden is proof of just how much people just don’t get it.

[sic] “Take yourself back in your mind. You remember how U.S. policy was dictated in those late-night tweets. Or how about the constant assault on our most sacred institutions, our democracy and our freedoms, and it’s only going to get worse,” she also said that the choice is between “chaos and corruption, hatred and division” or “strong, steady leadership.” ¹

Right there are two problems. Trump supporters, many independents, and even a couple of Democrats don’t see it that way. They may agree with her on the premise of this ‘decision’, but may disagree with who’s who and consider Trump the ‘strong leader’ choice and Biden the ‘chaos and corruption, hatred and division’ President.

They’ll remember Biden dancing around in his acceptance speech asking for unity while ballots were still being counted without a succession, no President in over 200 years has done this.²

They’ll remember the Afghanistan catastrophe, American soldiers and Afghan citizens blown to bits ³, and people so afraid of the Taliban they were falling out of the sky after no longer being able to hold on to exterior elements of a military transport plane.

They watched the media cover up the Hunter’s Laptop storyonly to turn around and confirm it two years later under the pretense, “well, everybody knew about it, so it wouldn’t have mattered”, but that’s not the way voters see it. 53% of those polled said it would have changed their mind if they had known. Note that Republicans were sampled as well, but 58% of those polled in the question were Democrats.

They’ve watched schools get riddled with bullets from mentally unstable individuals resulting in funerals of small children who never got a chance at life and a Supreme Court decision to reverse a decision that sent the power of abortion law back to each individual state due to an inability to pass laws or codify decisions when the President’s own party had full control of both the House and the Senate.

They see quid-pro-quos, big guy payments, hidden shelf corporation funneling, sexual abuse, money laundering, kids on drugs, kids with guns, kids with prostitutes, coherent sentence challenges, train of thought loss, stage exit challenges, falling over sandbags, off bikes, and down Air Force One steps, and blaming everyone but Joe Biden for every problem created by Joe Biden.

They remember who called half of the country “domestic terrorists” and keep hearing packed stadiums chant “Let’s Go Brandon”, while they come home broke from the outrageous gas prices to eat a bologna sandwich since it’s all they can afford at the grocery store anymore.

No Jill, they don’t remember anything you said because that’s not how they saw it unfold. What they saw unfold was a relentless attack on a sitting President day in and day out, so much so that Fact Checkers started checking Fact Checkers because not even checking facts could be trusted anymore, and what they’ve seen since is a President who began his Presidency with a speech that further divided the country and a continued support for the display of hatred and divisiveness ever since.

Why Doesn’t Anything Get Trump?

Every time they “Got Trump”, regardless of guilt or innocence, he attacked the problem, and whomever was behind it, head-on with his big fat mouth.

The opposing political party is stuck in old-school politics methodology that does indeed work on every other politician, but it doesn’t work on Trump.

Why? This is because people don’t realize what his actual expertise is.

He’s not a great businessman, not a great politician, not a master of high finance, not a real estate genius, and certainly has not perfected the “Art of the Deal”. What he does do well, perhaps better than any other human ever has, is marketing. Marketing primarily himself and his name along with those things embossed with it.

Those outside of that specialized profession don’t understand what Trump mastered many years ago. Every single time anyone utters a word about Trump, it’s good for Trump, and the worst articles with the most derogatory context are the best ones for him.

Many people may have heard the marketing term “all press is good press” and likely either questioned this, thought it was marketing weirdness, or dismissed it as a myth. However, hardcore marketers, the ones who really know what they are doing, will tell you that it’s far from a myth if, and only if, it’s done the right way. Trump does it arguably better than any other human has ever done it. He has positioned himself so strategically that no matter what anyone says about him, it benefits him.

Every time anyone makes a negative comment on Twitter, writes an anti-Trump Medium article, broadcasts a critical news or commentary segment, or criticizes their Trump-supporting neighbor or colleague for supporting the man, it’s like a river of plutonium gushing into the engine that powers former President Donald J. Trump.

Now, with that information, stop and think about the last day you can remember that you didn’t hear or read something about Donald Trump. His name is mentioned somewhere in some way every single day across the globe, and this has been the norm for over 7 years non-stop.

He is arguably the most famous human to have ever existed because no other human has ever accomplished anything remotely close to this. Pair that with the aforementioned marketing, and do the math.

Note to Christians, Jesus was not a regular human, so don’t attack me on this statement, regular humans don’t arise from the dead or make fish and bread duplicate on demand. — sd

That’s why the indictments are ineffective. That’s why negative news about Trump is ineffective. That’s why insulting his supporters with names like deplorable, stupid, poor, uneducated, and other derogatory terms is not only ineffective, it is predictable.

His opponents, with the full support of the corporate media, just walked directly into the trap like a lamb prancing into a lion’s den, and after eight long years of continued failure to so much as put a dent into Trump’s support, they keep making the same moronic mistake.

To make things worse, now it’s to the point that almost everything Trump says about the attacks on him appears very believable.

The Insanity of Democrats

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. — Albert Einstein

Here we are. Eight years later and the media, political opponents, and those that support Biden are still making the same mistake repeatedly.

Any normal former President that only survived a single term and was impeached twice would have absolutely no chance of even being considered for a nomination of their political party, but Trump is not normal. He set this up strategically from the beginning and his opponents fell for it.

  1. Russian collusion investigation. There was no chance of finding anything, and they knew it, but it dragged the country through a year of doubt and anger.
  2. Impeachment one. The phone call was interpreted to mean something that lacked the English words to support it and resulted in the first completely partisan impeachment, which is against the Constitution.
  3. Impeachment two. Without any proof and upset because their own house was entered, Congress, led by Pelosi, impeached Trump a second time. However, this time with bipartisan support.
  4. Constant media misinformation. The media went from spinning the news to outright lying to the public. Trump even predicted what they would say, and they couldn’t resist their addiction to ratings to say it.
  5. Jan. 6th Committee. With zero prosecutorial authority, the Jan. 6th committee comprised only of critics of Trump and almost all Democrats (only 2 Republicans who openly despise Trump) wrote a repetitive, circumstantial, assumption-based, long-drawn-out report meant to incriminate Trump but ended up explaining exactly why the Department of Justice elected not to investigate Trump in the first place. The goal of the committee was officially said to be determining the cause and actors who led to its occurrence; however, in practice, it appeared to be another “Get Trump” attempt. The report doesn’t even mention known instigators or those indicted with seditious conspiracy.
  6. Civil suit number one. Letitia James sued Trump in a lawsuit that used a math model she made-up to evaluate real estate, arguing that the proof of fraud was because her made-up math didn’t match that of a corporation who evaluates real estate as a business function professionally.
  7. Indictment number one. Alvin Bragg departed from United States history and practice by indicting Trump on a legal theory that almost all attorneys have laughed off as “not a chance in hell”. As a result, he’s already been scolded by judges, denounced by legal experts, and pretty much written off, although the case remains active.
  8. Indictment number two. The strongest legal action to date, and a federal one, lacks a significant chance of getting Trump, although it’s possible. It goes against legal provisions, case law, and Supreme Court decisions, and if this ends up being what the judge thinks as well, it could be more trouble for Jack Smith and Joe Biden than it is for Trump.

These were all pathetic and predictable attempts to “Get Trump”.

The latter two came after Trump’s announcement to make a run for 2024, making the moves suspicious outright, but the federal indictment fails to pass the “Nixon Test,” which is a test in practice to apply to any potential charges against a former President.

The New York legal actions came from two individuals whose campaign promises were to “Get Trump.”

What this looks like is that Trump hadn’t done anything, Democrats didn’t have anything on him, so they made it up. Not to say that is what it is, just what it looks like. Trump not only is claiming he’s the victim anymore, it actually looks like he is the victim now. That is 100% the product of the “Get Trump” movement, and the blame rests solely on the media, the Democrats, and their supporters.

Despite this blatantly obvious fact, the comments of Jill Biden reflect those of most of the supporters on the left and the media. They just do not understand what they themselves have done to fuel this engine that keeps Trump relevant. Their undeniable hatred for this man is the very thing that gives him power, and they are so addicted to it, they can’t stop.

How to “Get Trump”

This is probably the only reason you elected to read this article, to learn how to “Get Trump” or at least hear this opinion on how to do this anyway.

Here is the secret to deflating Trump forever: Stop talking about him.

If we had stopped talking about Trump in 2021 when he left office, like we have done with every other President in U.S. history, he would have just slowly faded away with no chance whatsoever to run in 2024. Many in his camp honestly didn’t think he wanted to run, but once his residence was raided, that most certainly gave him the support he needed to give it a shot.

Stop trying to “Get Trump” and you’ll actually “Get Trump”.

When the Trump federal indictment was announced, nobody took to the streets to protest, there were no fires or looting, but what did happen is that Trump raised over $7 million in two days as a result.

That is because he honestly does look like the victim, especially when you add the media to the mix. Directly after MSNBC field reporters scolded the masses of Trump supporters who showed up at the courthouse in support of the former President, saying “this should certainly not be a celebratory moment,” the news host could be seen smiling and grinning while reporting the arraignment.

That is why Jill. That is why.

You may not agree with everything, or anything, said here in this article, but this is an unbiased observation concluded with the one and only thing that would actually “Get Trump,” whether appropriate or not, and is a relative opinion. Far be it from me to interfere in an election by giving away this secret, but nobody is going to listen, and nothing is going to change. Addiction is a powerful vice, and millions of Americans are addicted to hating Trump.

This is how I have observed the past eight years, and it comes from someone who does not support Trump. I did not vote for him, not in 2020, not in 2016, and had zero plans to vote for him in 2024, but that choice is my decision, not the decision of the media, Jack Smith, the “Get Trump” persistence, or the Biden Administration, all of whom just interfered with that choice.

As many know, I am an independent and one who strongly dislikes both parties. However, with each election, I ultimately have to decide which individual(s) suck the least so that I can submit my vote. Lately, that’s been almost impossible to do without the temptation of voting “other.”

Up until this week, I didn’t even consider Trump a viable candidate since I didn’t think he could make it past the primaries, but for the first time in two and a half years, I can’t deny the fact that he might do exactly that and plausibly even be re-elected.

If that happens, the reason (or the blame depending on how you look at it) will rest completely and undeniably on “Get Trump.”

Congratulations.
