Million Dollar Payout for Racist Mom: Here’s How to Stop it
Shiloh Hendrix — the woman in the viral video where she calls a young Black child a racial slur — is on the verge of becoming a millionaire. Here’s how we can stop it.
In a video recorded at a park in Rochester, Shiloh Hendrix appears to call a 5-year-old Black child a racial slur. Not just once, but multiple times — and then attempts to justify her actions to the man filming the incident.
After the video went viral, Hendrix created a GiveSendGo campaign asking for donations to “protect her family,” with an initial goal of $50,000. That page has now raised over $600,000.
She has since raised her goal to one million dollars — and it looks like she might actually reach it. All of this, simply for being racist.
This must be stopped. A financial reward for such appalling behavior is unacceptable.
It’s important to note that Hendrix does not disclose the details of her actions on her fundraising page. Instead, she vaguely claims she “called him out for what he was.”
I recently had a kid steal from my 18month old sons diaper bag at a park. I called the kid out for what he was.
What Hendrix actually did was hurl a racial slur multiple times at a 5-year-old. That’s not “calling out a kid” — that’s verbal abuse of a toddler. Children that young don’t comprehend stealing; they’re naturally curious and impulsive.
How to Stop This
This situation needs to be reported en masse to GiveSendGo. A simple complaint won’t suffice — they need to see that their Terms of Service have been violated.
Shiloh Hendrix has breached the Acceptable Use Policy, found in Section E, Subsection X of the GiveSendGo Terms of Service. It clearly states:
Campaigns that are racist, hateful, potentially libelous, support or promote physical violence, or are intended to financially benefit individuals for the commission of violent crimes are not permitted.
The policy also uses the terms “directly or indirectly” to define violations. This means that even an indirect promotion of racism is grounds for removal.
By saying she “called him out for what he was,” Hendrix is referencing the racial slur she used — making this an indirect racist statement. That alone constitutes a violation of the platform’s rules. Additionally, her comments are clearly hateful, further breaching the Terms of Service.
Summary
Everyone who reads this should be encouraged to visit GiveSendGo and report the campaign. Instructions on how to do so can be found here:
The guide explains exactly how to file a report. You can copy the sections of the Terms of Service mentioned in this article and include your own professional comments.
Mass reporting is the only way to prevent Shiloh Hendrix from becoming a millionaire for being racist. We cannot allow this.
