I don't know on this one. I tend to agree with leaving the deal. I don't think Iran can be trusted, and by removing the sanctions under the deal, it opened up Iran for ecominic growth and funneling dirty money in the door. The only way the deal works is if Iran can be trusted to do what they say they will do and after pushing back UN inspectors, I don't think they could have been.

In that respect, sanctions do far more than a paper deal.

I'm not saying he's right or wrong. I'm just saying that I think sanctions are more effective in this case. I don't think there's anyway you stop Iran, they have a history of noncompliance and proven untrustworthy, so lifting sanctions under the deal just empowered them.

Hard one to call, but it worked while he was President. We have a new President and it's his problem and his decision how to handle Iran now, so I don't see this as being a conversation worth discussing as it is moot.
